While my dad & I were eating at a restaurant, a homeless guy walked in asking if they were hiring. He looked like he was in his 20’s & began telling one of the employees about how he became homeless. My dad & I felt sorry for him because he said he had no family, no money & needed a job. He seemed like a good person, he was really nice & was in search for a job. The manager told him to fill out an application & check back in a couple days. When he left, my dad said we should give him money. So I ran outside and gave him money. He then asked for my name & said “Its generous people like you who give me confidence & hope. Thank you so much.” He shook my hand then gave me a hug. I smiled, told him to take care of himself & walked back to the restaurant. My dad said, “You wonder what really happened to him, you can tell he is a good person, just got into a little financial trouble. I wish we could do more to help him out.” It was sad to see the guy walk away with only a small duffel bag in his cart. I really hope he finds a job & I hope his life gets better.
